Feb. 20--QUESTION: My mother bought two televisions with VCR units on board in October. She had faith the Dover Township merchant would help her if service was necessary.

The store delivered the TVs in what appeared to be original boxes. However, after they left, she discovered the videotapes couldn't be loaded on one of them. She called the store, which came and took that TV back for repair.

This was a presumably new set. It has been in the shop since Dec. 2. When my mother calls to ask about it, they dismiss her.

It seems they are discounting an elder lady who lives alone. It's unacceptable that a new TV would need to be repaired instead of …
