Fed: Howard says he's doing all he can to keep terrorism away

This follows fresh warnings from the United States of more terrorist attacks againstwestern targets in Indonesia.
Mr HOWARD has told the Tasmanian Liberal Council that Australia has worked hard tostrengthen cooperation between federal agencies and their counterparts in South-East Asia.
He says he can't guarantee that terrorism won't occur on the Australian mainland buthe can promise the government will do all it can to minimise the possibility.
Mr HOWARD says protecting Australians from terrorism involves greater investment inintelligence services, because accurate, reliable intelligence is essential.
