FED:Boat carrying 58 people intercepted=2

Opposition Leader Tony Abbott said boats will continue to arrive because the federal
government has no effective policy.

"The boats will come in increasing frequency while the government has essentially said
there is nothing they can do about it," he told Macquarie Radio on Tuesday.

Mr Abbott said the government was refusing to reopen the detention centre on Naru because
it didn't want to lose face by adopting opposition policy.

"This is a prime minister that is so stubborn that she let her pride put our national
interest at risk," he said.
